Fannie Steele (1887 - 1983) grew up in the Beartooth Mountains of Montana. In 1904, she was the women's bucking horse Champion and in 1912, won the world's Championship at Calgary riding a wild bronc named Red Wing. She was the first woman inducted into the Rodeo Hall of Fame.
